Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) is continuing work on a necessary repair to a water main on 140th Ave. N. between Orange Blvd. and 71st Pl. N. in Loxahatchee, FL 33470. All lanes of traffic running north and south on 140th Ave. N. between Orange Blvd. and 71st Pl. N. will remain closed until further notice.
The repair work began on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, and work will be ongoing for this repair until further notice. All lanes will remain closed until repairs are complete, and PBCWUD is urging commuters to plan accordingly.
PBCWUD has invested in additional contractors to ensure the project is completed as safely and quickly as possible in order to restore normal traffic patterns as soon as possible. PBCWUD will remain on site 24/7 until the project is complete.
At this time, drinking water services have been restored to customers in the area where the work is taking place; with approximately 25 customer addresses under a precautionary boil water notice until further notice. As a health precaution, all water that is used for drinking, cooking, making ice and brushing teeth should be brought to a boil for a minimum of one (1) minute and cooled prior to consumption. Customers will be notified immediately once the boil water notice has been lifted.
