​Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) is proud to announce that its Water Treatment Plant 9 has been honored with the Southeast Desalting Association (SEDA) 2023 Outstanding Membrane Plant Award for Large Facilities.

Presented by SEDA, the Outstanding Membrane Plant Award is a testament to Water Treatment Plant 9's commitment to delivering high-quality water to the community. SEDA, dedicates itself to enhancing water supplies through membrane desalting and filtration, water reuse, and other water sciences. This esteemed recognition applauds the exceptional maintenance efforts and exemplary performance of the membrane treatment plant.

Additionally, PBCWUD has been honored with the 2023 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award - GOLD presented by the Florida Sterling Council. The Florida Sterling Council, established in 1992 and supported by the Executive Office of the Governor, oversees the Governor's Sterling Award for Performance Excellence, recognizing organizations with exceptional management approaches.

The Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Awards, presented annually, recognizes PBCWUD's outstanding performance in crucial areas such as leadership, strategy, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, workforce, and operations. This historic achievement marks PBCWUD as the first water utility in the state to receive this prestigious honor.
