UPDATE - Repairs Complete on Okeechobee Blvd

Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) is working on a necessary repair to a sewer main near the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Haverhill Road.

The repair work begin at 9:00 P.M.Thursday, January 19, 2023 and required the closure of two westbound lanes on Okeechobee Boulevard along with the right-hand turning lane from Okeechobee Boulevard West onto Haverhill Road. Traffic on Haverhill Road has not be impacted.

All necessary devices are place to redirect traffic. PBCWUD expects work to be completed for this repair by 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2023 and is urging commuters to plan accordingly. Drivers should use an alternative route or give extra time for travel.

A sewer main is a pipeline that is used to transport wastewater and is an essential part of any wastewater system. This repair will not impact customer water or sewer services.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank the community for their patience and understanding as we complete the repairs as quickly and safely as possible.​


Update as of January 20th, 2023: 

Repairs on the sewer main are now completed and all lanes of Okeechobee Boulevard west near Haverhill Road are now open. Thank you for your patience.
