Body

Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) was once again recognized for its Asset Management Program as the Uptime Award winner during the 36th International Maintenance Conference (IMC).

The IMC is globally recognized in the asset management sector and holds the attendance of hundreds of professionals, engineers, and industry specialists. Outstanding achievements in asset management are recognized during an awards ceremony held on December 7th, 2022.

“By embracing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, we have been able to ensure value and quality for our customers,” said Ali Bayat, PBCWUD Utility Director. “We are deeply grateful to County leadership for supporting this culture of excellence, and we look forward to continuing to set the standard for asset management in the industry.”

In 2021, Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) became North America's first water utility to achieve ISO 55001 certification for its asset management system. ISO 55001 assures regulators, customers, and stakeholders that costs, opportunities, and risks are managed effectively.

“Since the implementation of ISO 55001, we have been able to drive exceptional results by delivering cost-saving efficiencies," said John Acton, PBCWUD Assistant Utility Director. “This award is a testament to PBCWUD’s uncompromising dedication to asset management excellence.”
