Boil Water Notice Rescinded for Belle Glade Residents Following Repair of Water Main

The Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) has completed the repair of a water main break South of James Wheeler ​Way in Belle Glade. As a precautionary measure, residents in the affected area are advised to boil their water before use.
This boil water notice affects customers in the Belle Glade area bounded by Runyon Village to the north, West Canal Street South, Duda Road to the east, and Torry Island Road to the west. Instructions for boiling water can be found on the PBCWUD website at pbcwater.com.

This break was reported at 9:00 A.M. December 31, 2022. Crews were immediately deployed, repaired the break and had service restored within two hours. PBCWUD is currently conducting thorough water quality testing to ensure water safety.

As soon as the testing has indicated it is safe to do so, customers will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted. PBCWUD recommends that all customers sign up for advanced notifications through AlertPBC to receive updates in the event of a boil water notice or other emergency situation.

  • 1057 E Canal St N West to include Belle Glade Marina
  • 1601 W Canal St N, North along SR 715 /NW 16th St to include all Residence and Businesses East and West along SR 715 to 39878 Hooker Highway
  • East along Hooker Hwy from 39878 to include all property South to 2990 SR 80 SR 15
  • 1500 Wedgeworth Way along Gator Blvd to 1141 Gator Blvd
  • 1141 Gator Blvd south along Duda Rd to include all addresses west of Duda Rd to E Canal St Nort​h

Boil Water Notice Rescinded for Belle Glade Residents Following Repair of Water Main

​PBCWUD is pleased to announce that the boil water notice issued earlier this week has been rescinded for the customers in the Belle Glade. The affected area was bounded by Runyon Village to the north, West Canal Street South, Duda Road to the east, and Torry Island Road to the west. All water quality tests have come back clear. We thank our customers for their patience and cooperation during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
