Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department  Honored for Excellence in Water Treatment

Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) has been recognized for its operational excellence and reliable wastewater services. PBCWUD received two honors from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), the nation’s recognized leader in legislative, regulatory, and legal clean water advocacy. 

Earning the Gold Award, the PBCWUD Southern Region Water Reclamation Facility holds perfect permit compliance. The Department also earned a Silver Award for its Western Region North Wastewater Treatment Facility that serves Pahokee residents.  

In addition, PBCWUD Plant Operator Chris Kerby was recognized by the Southeast Desalting Association (SEDA) with the Outstanding Operator Award for his commitment to membrane operations and leadership in the water treatment industry.  

“These awards are a direct result of reliable, hard-working team members, their dedication, and the commitment to quality service that soars through PBCWUD,” said Assistant Department Director John Acton. “Congratulations, and thank you to the entire PBCWUD family for your consistent dedication to the environment and our communities.”
