If you are experiencing any of the following: Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department customers can contact our 24-hour emergency hotline at (561)740-4600 option #1 to report any of the following emergencies: 

  • ​Water main break 
  • Fire hydrant leak 
  • Low water pressure 
  • Sewer back-ups or complaints 
  • Exposed water leaks near and around the meter 
  • Meter box and/or meter lid broken or missing 
  • Main water valve lid or box problems

A boil water notice is a precautionary measure when repairs are needed for a water main. If the water service in your area needs to be interrupted to make these repairs, we will notify you if you need to boil your water. PBCWUD contacts customers though multiple methods, including via door hangers, local media announcements, bulletin boards, and automated phone calls.  

PBCWUD recommends every customer register with AlertPBC​. This Notification System is managed by Palm Beach County Emergency Management and allows you to opt-in to receive notifications via phone calls, text messaging, e-mail, and more based on the locations that affect you.
