Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) has been recognized for its exceptional financial reporting practices. The department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2021.The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in government accounting and financial reporting. It is awarded to entities that demonstrate a commitment to transparency, accountability and excellence in financial reporting.
"At PBCWUD, we believe that transparency and accountability are critical components of good governance," said Assistant Utility Director Stephanie Marsh-Corinthian. "This award is a testament to that commitment."
This GFOA award holds a rigorous evaluation process that includes a review of the entity's annual comprehensive financial report. An impartial GFOA panel judges the report to meet the program's high standards.
"We are honored to receive this award which is a testament to our commitment to financial responsibility and transparency," said PBCWUD Finance Director Ebony Bruton. "Our team works hard every day, and this recognition is a validation of their efforts."
