Architecture Marketplace (AGR Tier)
FKA: Produce Stand and Related Uses

Project Manager:  Monica Cantor/William Cross

This is a continuation of the 2011 Produce Stand and Related Uses Subcommittee.
At the January 17, 2012 Board of County Commissioners (BCC) workshop, the Board directed staff to review the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) to create opportunities that protect and promote agriculture in the Agricultural Reserve (AGR) Tier. The Board stressed the importance to maintain the agricultural character of the Tier by avoiding introduction of commercial uses or activities that could change the character of the AGR Tier. Consequently, the subcommittee will be discussing new uses that respond to the policies of the Plan and the needs of the AGR Tier.

Use Regulations

Project Manager:  Monica Cantor/William Cross

This Subcommittee will undertake a systematic update of Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) provisions that address the regulation of uses to further identify issues, refine and improve use regulations, delete outdated restrictions, and potential streamlining of approval processes.
The main goal of this Subcommittee is to provide some predictability that would encourage development and reduce unnecessary regulations while continuing to protect the health, safety and welfare of County residents, by mitigating the adverse impacts of incompatible land uses.
