The Economic Development Section coordinates and manages the following:

  • Zoning Commission and Board of County Commissioners public hearings for Zoning applications. Public Hearing applications include: re-zoning, development order amendments, abandonments, Type 2 waivers, and Type 2 Variances, including Type 2 and Type 3 Concurrent Review, PH App related Type 1 Variances, and Type 1 Waivers.
  • The review of economic development and non-residential use applications, including DRO and PH applications, Zoning Confirmation Letters, and Type 1 Variances, Type 1 Waivers limited to density increase projects.
  • The On Call function, including distributing incoming inquires, Zoning Confirmation letter requests, and pre-application review for public hearing applications.
