The Division of Consumer Affairs is researching ways to improve how non-emergency medical transportation is provided to Palm Beach County residents. DCA sent out a survey several months ago to gather some baseline information on the current operating environment, current and recommended driver requirements, types of vehicles in your fleet, concerns, and types of business (broker, private, contracts) driving the industry. To capitalize on the expertise and knowledge of non-emergency medical transport companies, the Division of Consumer Affairs is convening a focus meeting to discuss the survey results and have a dialogue about enhancements that can be made to improve private company facilitated non-emergency medical transportation services in Palm Beach County. The meeting will be on July 31, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Division of Consumer Affairs Conference Room located at 50 S. Military Trail in West Palm Beach in suite 2N-123. The meeting’s agenda will include the following: • Purpose of Focus Meeting • Outline Specific Issues • Review Industry Survey Results • Explore enhancements to PBC Ordinance |
