The Florida Fallen Firefighter Memorial Ceremony takes place each year on the campus of the Florida State Fire College in Ocala.On November 15, the names of 13 Florida firefighters, whose deaths were determined to be Line of Duty, were placed on the memorial. This year, there were no PBCFR names added.Our Honor Guard, again this year, had the largest contingent of any other Honor Guards from across Florida. We have established ourselves as a reliable standard for the memorial, and are typically assigned key ceremonial roles because of that dedication.This year, we took on roles as Unit Commanders, Flag-Raise Team, Flag Team, Tools Team and Family Escort.Chief Kennedy and some of his executive staff attended to show support to the Florida Fire Service and to help memorialize the LODDs.10
