The Honor Guard Supports VeteransThe Honor Guard and Pipes & Drums holds our nation%u2019s military veterans in high regard, and we show our respect by participating in events that supports and acknowledges them.Events include the Missing-in-America Project, the Wellington Memorial Day and Veterans Day parades and ceremonies, and Honor Flight homecomings.The Tequesta Chili cook-off and the Palm Beach Central football game had %u201cSalute to Veterans%u201d components.Ibis Country Club hosted a Veterans Appreciation golf tournament 3-6-24.Honor Flight is a program that takes veterans to Washington D.C to visit the various war memorials. On their return flight the same day, the Honor Guard escorts them from their gate in Concourse B of PBIA through a welcoming crowd in the main terminal. For many, this is the only welcome home they ever received. Sadly, there are very few WWII veterans participating in recent years.13
