Honor Guards share a bond in rendering honors, regardless of whose agency is grieving the loss of a firefighter. We support each other by providing assistance at funerals and memorials. On 1-13-24, PBCFR Honor Guard assisted Delray Beach Fire Rescue at the funeral of Assistant Chief Michael Wigderson (ret). The City of Miami Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Honor Guards also assisted rendering honors.A memorial service for Riviera Beach Fire Rescue Chief RichardWester (ret) took place 12-28-24 at Station 87. Honor Guards from PBCFR, WPBFR and RBFR assembled for casket watch and Fire Service honors while a solo Piper played Amazing Grace. A Multi-agency Honor Guard recessed with the casket to the hearse.7
