Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Honor Guard formed in 1986 at the request of Chief Herman W. Brice. We had a pending funeral for a former Chief Officer, and there was not a system in place to render proper honors. From that point forward, our fundamental mission has been to render honors to fallen firefighters, and to ensure that their contributions to PBCFR and the Fire Service are memorialized.The Honor Guard and Battalion 5 firefighters at the funeral services for PBCFR DO Steve Wilbur (ret)2-29-24.A memorial medallion and agency flag were presented to the Wilbur family while a bagpiper played Amazing Grace.The Honor Guard and Pipes & Drums rendered graveside honors for PBCFR Capt. Richard Arenson(ret)5-31-24.4
