Singer Island
This project is in the permitting phase.
The shoreline from the County’s Ocean Reef Park north to the J.D. MacArthur Beach State Park has been designated as "critically eroded" by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The chronic erosion of the beach and dunes along this stretch of shoreline can be attributed to storm activity and coastal development. To date, 11 dune restorations have been completed in order to stabilize the dunes and provide sea turtle nesting habitat.
