Coral Cove Dune Restoration Project

1 mile north of the Jupiter Inlet south to the southern end of Coral Cove Park, Tequesta     

Sand beind delivered to Coral Cove beach for dune restoration

Restoration Project 
  • Restoration work was conducted between  November 2021 through January 2022
  • Sand from an inland mine was used to establish a natural dune elevation
  • Native dune vegetation was installed to complete the dune habitat

1989 - First dune restoration project completed
  • ​Removed invasive nonnative vegetation

  • Installed 9.6 acres of native dune plants
  • Constructed 4 dune walkovers
1993, 2005, 2013 - Additional dune improvements completed to restore dune habitat lost to erosion
