DUNE HABITAT RESTORATION PROJECT
East side of A-1-A across from Karen Marcus Ocean Park Preserve, Jupiter
Invasive nonnative vegetation in the dune system along a 0.7-mile portion of the eastern side of A-1-A adjacent to Karen Marcus Ocean Park Preserve in Jupiter was removed. The following species were removed and used as mulch throughout the open areas: Yellow wood, Sansaveria, Brazilian pepper, Carrotwood, Schefflera and Vitex. Lighting impacts on the beach are not anticipated due to vegetation coverage from the undeveloped preserve to the west and the absence of streetlights.
