ACC Comparative Study on Shelter Renovation - Update – February 12, 2020
The consultant team for the Animal Care and Control (ACC) facility delivered three design solutions as part of its latest draft version of the Comparative Study. The three solutions incorporate the animal welfare best practices that surfaced during the public meetings and industry charrettes, and significantly exceed the existing budget appropriation for the project. The consultant has been tasked with developing a fourth option that better matches current funding allocation while Staff is working on an analysis of possible supplemental funding sources. Additional time is needed to complete both tasks; therefore, the Workshop planned for February 25, 2020 will be rescheduled for a later date, projected for May-June 2020. Once a new date is determined, timely notification will be provided and back-up documents will be made available for review.
