Our Pets for Vets program is designed to honor and support veterans by providing them with a loving companion from our shelter—at no cost. Through this program, our adoption coordinators work closely with veterans to match them with a pet that best fits their lifestyle and needs. In addition to a free adoption, we provide a welcome package that includes a bag of food, a collar, a leash, six months of preventive care, and a behavioral counseling session with our expert Behavior and Enrichment staff. These pets are meant to be companions, offering unconditional love and support, but they are not service animals. It's our way of saying thank you for your service and helping you find a loyal friend to share your journey.
