This application is for court appointed community service hours. You must be at least 18 years of age and serve a minimum of 100 hours at Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control.
- Complete this application first.
- AFTER you complete & submit the application, email the volunteer team at
ACCVolunteer@pbcgov.org a copy of your court paperwork, a headshot picture of yourself for your community service profile and the signed Waiver of Liability . - All court appointed community service workers must consent to a background screening which includes fingerprinting. Once all of the items above are received, a member of the volunteer team will call you as your SSN is needed to set up the background screening.
- Once submitted in our system, you will receive an email from the volunteer team with the phone number to call to make your background screening and badge appointment. Background screening appointments are only available Monday – Friday until 5pm.
- Please be advised that it can take 10 – 15 business days from the date of your appointment for your background screening to clear and for your access badge to be issued. If you need to begin or complete your required hours within 4 weeks of applying, we will not be able to accommodate you.
- If your background screening clears, you will then receive an email from the volunteer team indicating that you may begin serving your court appointed community service hours along with the link to sign up for available shifts. Shifts are limited.
