Reservations are required for ALL programs (unless otherwise noted). All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program.
Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, recreation and educate on health and wellness in the community.

NOTICE: Effective October 1, 2025, all payments made with a credit or debit card (online or in-person) will incur a 3.0% service fee. This fee is assessed and collected by the credit card processor, not by Palm Beach County. No service fee will be assessed on payments made by check or cash. Service fees are non-refundable.

MONTHLYANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKSWednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2:45 p.m. Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. All ages, FREE (Reservations not required) During feeding time, listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing’s resident animals.
JUNEMOTHER NATURE & ME: FISHY FRIENDSTuesday, June 2, 10:30 a.m. Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required) Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!
INTRO TO ARCHERY Saturday, June 6, 10:00 a.m. Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required) Join USA Archery certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children. DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: FROGS & TOADS Tuesday, June 9, 3:00 p.m. Adults and children ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required) Enjoy a special program about frogs and toads, featuring a visit from some of the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors! Located at the West Boca Branch Library. Call the library for details and RSVP at (561) 470-1600.
ANIMAL KEEPER FOR A DAY Wednesday, June 10, 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 10:00 a.m. Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required) Animal keepers have the coolest job! Work behind the scenes with animal care staff and volunteers to feed, clean exhibits and provide enrichments for the animals at the nature center. Learn what it takes to care for these special animal ambassadors. BUTTERFLY GARDENING Saturday, June 13, 10:30 a.m. Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required) Learn all about local butterflies and discover how to attract them with a butterfly garden. Find out which plants are best to attract a multitude of species and enjoy a guided tour of Daggerwing Nature Center’s butterfly garden. SENSATIONAL SNAKES Saturday, June 20, 10:30 a.m. All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required) Join a naturalist for a family friendly program focusing on the amazing world of snakes! Learn about these slithering serpents and meet one up close and personal. DIPNETTING Saturday, June 27, 10:00 a.m. Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required) Find out what creatures naturally live in the water of a wetland! Learn how to collect small pond animals and then observe and identify your findings. Please bring water, sun protection and closed-toe shoes that can get wet/muddy.

SENSATIONAL SNAKES Saturday, July 18, 10:30 a.m. All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required) Join a naturalist for a family friendly program focusing on the amazing world of snakes! Learn about these slithering serpents and meet one up close and personal. ORIENTEERING Wednesday, July 22, 9:30 a.m. Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required) Join a naturalist and learn how to navigate using a map and compass! Participants will then get to practice the directional skills they learn on a fun, outside adventure course. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection and closed-toe shoes.
