Reservations are required for ALL programs (unless otherwise noted). Please call if you are not able to attend the program to allow those on the waiting list to attend. If you are more than five minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

Participants/guardians are required to sign a Program Participation Form upon arrival to the program. Program fees are due upon arrival to the program.

DAILY ANIMAL FEEDINGS

  • Daily when the nature center is open, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
    Families / All Ages, FREE (Reservations NOT Required)
    3:15pm is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about a specific animal and then watch while they are fed.
    • Wednesday – Opossum
    • Thursday – Snake
    • Friday – Owl
    • Saturday - Alligator

WEEKLY WELLNESS PROGRAMS

  • RESTORATIVE YOGA
    Thursdays, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Four week sessions, call for start dates)
    $45 for four sessions, $35 for Friends of Daggerwing members, or $15 for one session (Reservations required)
    Yoga can help one find peace, tranquility, mindfulness, strength, balance, and flexibility. All equipment is provided.

APRIL
  • MOTHER NATURE & ME: CLEAN AND GREEN
    Tuesday, April 16, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
    Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!​

  • INTRO TO ARCHERY 
    Friday, April 19, 10:00 a.m.
    Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
    Join the USA Archery and N.F.A.A. certified staff and learn about the sport of archery. This exciting program teaches archery safety skills and proper use of a bow and arrow before getting time to practice on the range.​

  • SPECIAL EVENT: EARTH DAY
    Saturday, April 27, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
    Celebrate Earth Day at Daggerwing Nature Center! Bring the family to learn easy ways to help the planet while having fun. This special event will feature live animal encounters, crafts, environmental science demonstrations, butterfly plant sale, ladybug release and much more!​

  • GEOLOGY ROCKS  
    Saturday, May 4, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 8+, $3/person (Reservations required)
    Join a naturalist to learn amazing geology facts including how rocks form, the three categories of rocks, and techniques for identification. Through hands-on exploration of beautiful rocks and minerals, participants will discover the wonders of geology!  

  • MOTHER NATURE & ME: ANIMAL BABIES
    Tuesday, May 7, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
    Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

  • ANIMAL ADVENTURES
    Saturday, May 11, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 8+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
    Play active games and enjoy activities designed to teach about wild animals and their habitats. This outdoor recreational adventure brings an awareness of wildlife ecology. *Wear closed-toe shoes and loose fitting comfortable clothes.

  • DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: ALLIGATORS
    Tuesday, May 14, 3:30 p.m.
    Ages 8+, FREE (Reservations required)
    Enjoy a special program featuring a visit from some of the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors, at the West Boca Branch Library! Call the West Boca Branch Library for details and RSVP at (561) 470-1600.
