SEMINOLE MAROON REMEMBRANCE

Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)​
This event highlights the history of the allied Seminoles and African American Seminole Maroons and their bravery during the Seminole Wars. The event features rituals/ceremonies, lectures, exhibitors, vendors and more. Presented by the Florida Black Historical Research Project, Inc. in cooperation with the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists. 

SECOND SEMINOLE WAR BATTLEFIELD REENACTMENT
Saturday, January 25, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 
Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
Join the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists for their annual Second Seminole War Battlefield Reenactment! Talk with period-accurate reenactors, listen to educational talks, and watch the main event for an afternoon about our local history. Please note that the cannons will be firing, bring appropriate ear protection as needed. We hope to see you there!
