Negotiates consultant contracts and manages consultant designed projects. Reviews and oversees the preparation of design plans, structural plans, right-of-way maps, permits, specifications and contract documents for thoroughfare roads. Manages the production of roadway alignment studies, bridge studies and drainage studies, and works with other County divisions, FDOT and municipalities to coordinate work on and adjacent to thoroughfare roads. Reviews plans for new developments in order to determine financial responsibilities of developments that impact thoroughfare roads. Provides estimated costs and identifies projects for inclusion in the Five-Year Road Program.
