The Adopt-A-Park Program is a volunteer experience for residents, businesses and civic-minded organizations to partner with the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department to keep our community’s parks, beaches and trails clean and attractive. The program provides participants with a sense of park ownership and an outlet to give back to the community and protect our natural environment. Opportunities include maintaining the parks, beaches and trails by picking up litter, maintaining flowerbeds, painting, spreading playground mulch including safety surfacing and other manual labor. 

PBC Parks’ Adopt-A-Park Program is designed so everyone can participate. From one-time experiences to reoccurring projects, groups choose how often they make a difference. There is no fee to participate. A fee may apply to reserve large picnic pavilions. 

The Parks and Recreation Department’s Volunteer Services has limited cleanup supplies available to loan on a first-come-first-served basis.

Minimum Commitments
• Host at least one beautification project/cleanup with at least 5 volunteer participants
• Review theCleanup Project Guidelines and complete thePark Improvement Permit Request Form and send  to parksvol@pbcgov.org​ at least two weeks prior to your project
• Schedule appointment with Volunteer Services for cleanup supplies pick up prior to your project and return the equipment within 5 business days after project completion
• Complete Data & Volunteer Roster form and send to parksvol@pbcgov.org​ within 5 days after each project completion

Sign-up Procedures
Review theCleanup Project Guidelines then complete thePark Improvement Permit Request Form. Send the completed form to parksvol@pbcgov.org​. Cleanup permitting process may take up to one week. Please submit cleanup requests at least one week prior to your planned event.

Recognition
• Certificate of Adoption signed by the Director
• Designation as an official Adopt-A-Park Partner on the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department website, department publications and/or social media as a PBC Parks Adopt-A-Park Partner
• Additional recognition and benefits may occur based on group commitment
