Reservations are required for ALL programs (unless otherwise noted). Please call if you are not able to attend the program to allow those on the waiting list to attend. If you are more than five minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

Participants/guardians are required to sign a Program Participation Form upon arrival to the program. Program fees are due upon arrival to the program.

DAILY ANIMAL FEEDINGS

  • Daily when the nature center is open, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
    Families / All Ages, FREE (Reservations NOT Required)
    3:15pm is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about a specific animal and then watch while they are fed.

SEPTEMBER
  • MOTHER NATURE & ME: ANIMAL BUILDERS

    Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!​

  • DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: ALLIGATORS
    Tuesday, September 11, 3:30 p.m.
    Ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)
    Enjoy a special program about alligators featuring a visit from some of the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors, at the West Boca Branch Library! Call the West Boca Branch Library for details and RSVP at 561-470-1600.

  • TALKING ANIMALS  
    Saturday, September 15, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 5+, $3/person (Reservations required)
    Join a naturalist with some of the nature center’s animal ambassadors for a fun and educational presentation about the different ways animals communicate. Discover the many ways animals communicate with each other and just how smart they really are!​

  • MOTHER NATURE & ME: SNAKES
    Tuesday, September 18, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
    Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

  • FISHING FUN
    Wednesday, September 19, 10:00 a.m.
    Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
    Learn the basics of freshwater fishing and practice learned skills. Class includes: fishing pole basics, casting tips, and freshwater fish identification. All fishing supplies are provided. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes that can get wet/muddy.

  • BETTER BIRDING
    Saturday, September 29, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 5+, $3/person (Reservations required)
    Learn about the exciting hobby of bird watching. First, join a naturalist who will teach bird identification skills and proper use of binoculars and field guides.  Then practice these new skills on the boardwalk during a guided birding adventure.​

    All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
    Bring the kids in costume and enjoy not-so-scary Halloween games and crafts* while learning about nocturnal creatures such as owls, toads, snakes and spiders! Remember to bring a flashlight and bug spray to continue the adventure outside along the boardwalk at night! *While supplies last.​
