Since 1998, the Florida Legislature has appropriated more than $23 million towards Lake Worth Lagoon restoration. Legislative funds have been combined with matching funds to support over $90 million in restoration and water quality improvements to Lake Worth Lagoon. Funding through Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative (LWLI) is available through local municipalities' and special taxing districts' effort to improve water quality and habitat restoration in the lagoon.
