In accordance with Palm Beach County Vehicle for Hire Code Chapter 19, Article 9 Section 19-223, the Division will be conducting Taxicab & Non-Medical Transport Van Inspections for the upcoming Licensing Year. No Inspections required for Sedans/ Limos /Shuttles/Vans.
The 2020 inspections will be conducted for a four (4) day period as follows:
April 14: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
April 15: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
April 16: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
April 21: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The inspections will take place in the west parking lot (near Military Trail) at the Consumer Affairs Office located at 50 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415.
All Taxicab and Non-Medical Transportation Van Companies that have submitted fully complete applications for license year 2020 must report to the DCA Office for their yearly inspections. Inspections will be conducted on a first come first served basis. Additionally, only vehicles that are listed and documented in the 2020 business application will be inspected.
If additional vehicles need to be added after the application is submitted, the VFH business will need to bring those vehicles in for inspection later.
All taxicab and non-emergency medical transport van companies are encouraged to review the applicable ordinance sections in reference to signage, taximeter requirements and equipment requirements to ensure the vehicles are prepared for the inspection.
TAXIS: Make sure you have a valid Taxi Meter Calibration Form dated within one year of the inspection date.
INSPECTIONS WILL NOT BE CONDUCTED DURING PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN
