Green Cay Nature Center is the county's newest nature center that overlooks 100 acres of constructed wetland and provides educational opportunities about this unique habitat. The wetland features 1.5 miles of elevated boardwalk featuring interpretive signs about the habitat. The Nature Center includes a lecture hall, gift shop, and live animals in an extensive exhibit room that highlights wetland attributes. Come for a visit and find that there's something for everyone at this fantastic facility!

NOTICE: Construction at Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands is now complete. The Parks and Recreation Department is working on a plan to gradually, responsibly and safely re-open Green Cay Nature Center to ensure compliance with all local, county and state COVID-19 guidelines including County Emergency Orders. We appreciate your patience during this challenging time, we miss you and look forward to the days ahead, when you are able to return to Green Cay Nature Center and boardwalk to participate in recreation and leisure activities. We will continue to share updated information as it becomes available.
