Hurricane Impacted Animals:

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control continues to request that any stray animals found are brought to the shelter at 7100 Belvedere Road for documentation and stray-hold time in an effort to reunite animals that may have become lost just prior to and immediately following Hurricane Irma. Animals found during the period of September 8th through September 16th will be kept for 10 days before being available for pre-adoption. No adoption will be finalized until 30 days after the storm-impacted pet was brought to the division.

Local private shelters and/or local or out-of-town rescue organizations may not transport any storm displaced animals out of county for a period of 30 days. This moratorium ends October 10th.

Local private shelters and rescue organizations are strongly discouraged from importing any new animals into Palm Beach County for a minimum of 60 days. Local private shelters and rescue organizations are encouraged to take adoptable animals from Animal Care and Control in order to free space at the division for storm displaced pets.

Vaccine Packages for Dogs and Cats - Available 7 Days a Week

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - No Appointment Needed

Animal Care & Control offers a variety of low-cost services for pets residing in Palm Beach County: rabies vaccinations, annual vaccine packages, microchipping and more!

Please note, all pets surrendered to Animal Care & Control must be current on vaccinations (this is for the health and safety of the pet).

Proof of vaccinations is required. For pets not current on vaccines, they can be brought to the shelter for this service; pet owners will then need to take the pet home for 14 days to allow the vaccines time to take effect before surrendering. Please call (561) 233-1200, extension 0 with any questions you may have.
