Designed, fabricated and installed by artist Garth Edwards, Garden Gate is inspired by Palm Beach Gardens' early vision of the town becoming a "Garden City". Garths design and color palette complement the library's interior design and architectural features, resulting in a vibrant, whimsical installation that appears to bloom from the walls and corners of the library.

Just past the entrance, visitors are greeted with colorful vine-like sculptures. Alive with imaginative depictions of local flora and fauna, a gardenesque archway invites visitors into the library's youth and family section. Here, plant inspired sculptures on the reference desk continue the garden theme, while functioning as corner guards.
