Description | What: Trash and invasive plant removal – concentrating on islands in wetland – using kayaks or airboat to get to cleanup areas

Duration: 8 am to 11 am
Directions: From I-95 exit at 45th Street - head west to Haverhill Road - turn right and head north on Haverhill Road for roughly 2 miles to Dyer Blvd. – turn left and enter the south Dyer Park gates – drive west and parking lot entrance is on the left.
Additional Information: We will be removing invasive plants and trash from islands within the wetland. Transport to the islands are by either kayaks or airboat. Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting dirty or muddy. Restroom facilities are available at Dyer Park. The Department will supply tools, gloves and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register.
Registration: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
