The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a series of prescribed burns at the Okeeheelee Park Natural Area located at: 7715 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach between November 14, 2016 - May 31, 2017 and at the Okeeheelee Park South Natural Area located at: 7500 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach between November 14, 2016 - October 31, 2017. The purpose of these burns is to reduce dead and dense vegetation and to improve native habitat.
Parks Operations Division crews will be assisted by the Florida Forest Service and or Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Each prescribed burn will be completed in one day. The burns will occur within the above dates pending the appropriate weather conditions.
