Service Descriptions
Palm Beach County's reentry services are delivered through contracted community-based agencies that provide evidence-based programming and practices through the provision of case management and supportive resources to meet the specific needs of targeted reentry populations. -
RESTORE is PBC's adult reentry initiative that encompasses the umbrella of services for adults in need of reentry services upon release from incarceration in jail, prison, and federal custody.

Back to a Future is PBC's youth reentry initiative that targets youth and young adults in need of services upon release from residential commitment within the juvenile delinquency system.
Case Management - Assessment, identification, and facilitation of services to address the basic and criminogenic needs of participants through individualized case planning, supportive services, and connections within the community. Case managers are trained in:
Support Services -
Post-Release Incentives: variety of concessions to motivate, drive, and reward positive behaviors, service participation, and goal attainment for participants and their families.

Post-Release Pro-Social Activities/Events: activities that involve positive interactions with peers, mentors, and community members, that promote pro-social behaviors and skills, provide service and compassion to others, and introduce participants to meaningful ways invest their free time.

Post-Release Transportation: bus and train passes, bicycles and equipment, ride share vouchers, and other necessary support for participants to be able to travel within the community to access resources, services, and activities needed to successfully reintegrate.

Post-Release Employment Assistance: clothing, materials, tools, skill development, and other supplies needed to attain and maintain employment.
- Post-Release Transitional Job (TJ): hands-on employment training through the implementation of a designated transitional job to build skills and experience, coupled with a cognitive behavioral intervention (CBI).

Pre- and Post-Release Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI): paid opportunities to participate in cognitive behavioral intervention classes, which are evidence-based therapeutic models to improve emotional regulation, change problem behaviors, and develop personal coping strategies to improve health and outcomes.

Post-Release Medication/Medical Assistance: assistance with attaining prescribed medication, medication management, and with other expenses related to physical health.

Pre- and Post-Release Financial Identification Assistance: funding assistance to complete any prerequisite classes, documentation requests, application fees, or reconciling of fines needed to attain a variety of identification options (birth certificates, social security cards, state identification card, driver's license and related driving courses, etc.)

Post-Release Basic Needs: items to meet basic sustenance, hygiene, toiletry, and other survival needs.

Post-Release Basic Technology Needs and Financial Assistance: basic technological items and methods of maintaining communication, such as cell phones, phone minutes, tablets, or laptops.

Post-Release Education Preparation Class: academic instruction to improve basic literacy in preparation for testing to attain the GED.

Post-Release Substance Abuse Assessment: assessments used to diagnose the severity of substance use and related issues and identify needed treatments.

Post-Release Substance Abuse Education: providing access to educational classes or therapies designed to address misuse of drugs and/or alcohol.

Post-Release Mental Health Assessment: assessments of mental health used to indicate the severity of mental and/or behavioral health disorders, or related issues, and identify any necessary treatments.

Post-Release Mental Health Treatment: counseling, therapies, or other necessary mental and/or behavioral health treatments.

Post-Release Transitional Housing: short-term transitional housing opportunities provided via direct service or referral to other housing entities.

Pre- and Post-Release Vocational Training: job training opportunities in various vocations, trades, or disciplines.
