                                    2024 Performance SummaryThis year, the band maintained an active presence in Palm Beach County and beyond. We participated in numerous events, including firefighter memorials, recruit graduations, civic ceremonies, and community gatherings. Below is a breakdown of our participation:- Total Events Played: 61- Funeral Honors: 10- Civic and Public Safety Events: 16- Firefighter Graduations & Promotions: 10- Parades and Festivals: 7- Other Special Performances: 18Here are some of the key events from the year:1. Florida Fire Chief Association Opening Ceremonies (January) %u2013 Performed in Orlando.2. PBCFR Station 40 Grand Opening (March) %u2013 Provided ceremonial music for the dedication of PBCFR%u2019s 51st fire station. 3. Dunedin Highland Games (April). Our Pipe Major competed in the Dunedin Highland Games, earning a 4th place finish in piobaireachd (classical) bagpiping. 3. Governor%u2019s Hurricane Conference (May) %u2013 Represented the fire service at the opening of this conference that brings over 1000 people from across the nation. 4. Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers Parade (July)%u2013 Members were part of a rainsoaked victory parade featuring the 1st time Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers5. 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb (September) %u2013 Honored the heroes of 9/11. 6. Florida Fallen Firefighter Memorial (Ocala, FL)** (November) %u2013 Participated in a solemn remembrance ceremony for Florida%u2019s fallen firefighters.7. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue%u2019s 40th Anniversary Celebration (October) %u2013 Helped mark a historic milestone in the department%u2019s history.8. Multiple Public Safety Funerals %u2013 Paid final honors at firefighter and law enforcement funerals throughout the state.Travel and OutreachIn 2024, PBCFFPD members traveled to multiple locations within Florida to represent the band and honor the traditions of the fire service. Notable travel engagements included performances in Orlando, Ocala, and Ft. Myers, strengthening our connection with other fire service organizations and community partners. Nationally, our band played at the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We hosted multiple Pipe and Drum bands from as far away as California and Massachusetts for the 54th annual Delray Beach St. Patrick%u2019s Day Parade and Festival. 49
