Older adults face some unique challenges as they age. In fact, limited mobility, vision, hearing and slower reaction times are some of the biggest obstacles. This presentation allows us to address these concerns with the audiences on a more personal level where we can inform residents on the procedures in the event evacuation is necessary in an emergency situation.

Slips and Falls are our most common 911 call. We strive to educate citizens about fall prevention to reduce the chances of them becoming another statistic.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths among adults age 65 and older.

> One in three Americans age 65 and older fall each year.
> An older adult who falls but is not injured may voluntarily restrict activity due to a fear of falling again, which leads to an increased risk of falling.

We offer a variety of presentation formats. We have a 45-minute group presentation about Slip and Fall Prevention and Aging Gracefully, slip and fall prevention behaviors, in addition to sharing community resource information.
