Palm Beach County Golf is proud to participate in the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Program (ACSP) at all five of its facilities and is committed to environmental stewardship. The ACSP is an award winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect the environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf. The ACSP helps golf courses and their golfers enhance the valuable natural areas and wildlife habitats that golf courses provide, improve efficiency, minimize potentially harmful impacts of golf operations, and serves as vital resource for golf courses.

By implementing and documenting a full complement of environmental management practices, a course earns designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Some areas addressed by the ASCP are:

  • Environmental planning
  • Wildlife and habitat management
  • Chemical use, reduction, and safety
  • Water conservation
  • Water quality management
  • Outreach and education

Receiving certification demonstrates leadership as a steward of the environment and publicly recognizes and rewards environmental achievements. The ACSP's goal is to encourage golf courses to be environmental stewards and to certify golf courses that meet or exceed stringent ACSP environmental requirements.
