Description | What: Trash removal from mangroves along Intracoastal Waterway
Where: Jupiter Ridge Natural Area – 1800 S. U.S. Highway 1 - Jupiter

Duration: 9 a.m. to noon (Low tide is around 11 a.m., so we are starting an hour later - We are transporting volunteers several miles to the cleanup site – please arrive no later than 9:10 a.m. – otherwise you’ll miss your ride!)
Directions: From I-95 exit at Donald Ross Road – head east on Donald Ross Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 for roughly 2.5 miles – the entrance to the natural area is located on the west side of U.S. Highway 1 (just north of the Bluffs development).
Additional Information: Volunteers will be getting wet and muddy on this event! Please wear appropriate clothing. We will be removing trash from mangroves along the Intracoastal Waterway. Please wear closed-toed shoes to protect your feet from oysters and sharp rocks. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments for the volunteers. Event participation is limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.
Registration: The Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management has seven volunteer projects scheduled for April and early May. The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
