Additional Info: The first part of the event will entail planting native grasses. Once that is complete we will pick up trash. Volunteers should wear long pants, t-shirts, sneakers or hiking boots. We will be working in areas containing saw palmetto and cactus during the trash removal portion of the event. We may also be cleaning along wetland areas – so be prepared for possibly wet and muddy working conditions. Restroom facilities are available inside the library which opens at 9 am. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation limited to the first 15 volunteers who register.
Registration: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
