The Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative (LWLI) is a multiagency and stakeholder group organized to heighten awareness of Lake Worth Lagoon and coordinate activities to protect and enhance this valuable natural system. Working groups were created as an informal forum for the exchange of information about water, habitat, and outreach as they pertain to the Lake Worth Lagoon with the goal to increase our collective awareness of enhancement and monitoring efforts and discuss opportunities and methodologies to restore and protect Lagoon resources.
Everyone with an interest in the Lagoon is encouraged to attend and participate. Though we do not vote on any issues, nor make recommendations as a group to any decision-making body, we do expect that ideas generated by these discussions will result in collaborative efforts that enhance the Lagoon and raise public awareness of its valuable resources.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Working Group Lead as follows:
Everyone with an interest in protecting, preserving and enhancing Lake Worth Lagoon is encouraged to attend. All meetings are open to the public. |
