Duration: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Directions: From I-95 exit at Indiantown Road (State Road 706) – head east on Indiantown Road to Delaware Blvd. – turn left and enter Delaware Scrub parking lot – look for a white county truck to locate volunteer staging area.
Additional Information: For those volunteers who don’t mind getting wet, there will be invasive nonnative water lilies to remove. For those volunteers who don’t want to get wet, there will be trash to remove. We also might be “installing” native bromeliads (airplants). Volunteers should wear long pants, t-shirts, hiking boots or sneakers. There is the possibility of running into poison ivy, so long pants are highly recommended. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. Restrooms are available at various stores located along Indiantown Rd. The Department will supply all tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 10 volunteers who register.
Registeration: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
