VOLUNTEER EVENT (WEEKDAY EVENT)

What: Trash removal from mangroves along Intracoastal Waterway

Where: Jupiter Ridge Natural Area – 1800 S. U.S. Highway 1 - Jupiter

When: Wednesday, June 16, 2021

Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (We are transporting volunteers several miles to the cleanup site – please arrive no later than 8:10 a.m. – otherwise you’ll miss your ride!)

Directions: From I-95 exit at Donald Ross Road – head east on Donald Ross Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 for roughly 2.5 miles – the entrance to the natural area is located on the west side of U.S. Highway 1 (just north of the Bluffs development).

Additional Information: Volunteers should wear clothing they don’t mind getting wet or muddy. We will be removing trash from mangroves along the Intracoastal Waterway. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments for the volunteers. Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register.

Register: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Volunteers can register for an ERM event by calling 561-233-2426 or emailing amathews@pbcgov.org.

Important Reminder: Our COVID-19 restrictions have been update. Fully vaccinated volunteers do not need to wear a mask. Those not fully vaccinated are asked to wear a mask when 6 feet of distance can’t be maintained.
