Palm Beach County's Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) hereby announces the availability of $7,333,993 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds through the Robert E. Pinchuck Memorial Affordable Housing Trust Fund for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.  Applications will be available online, for targeted groups, on the following dates by visiting the website below.  Applications will be accepted on a first submitted, first qualified, first served basis, subject to funding availability. 

  • Purchase Assistance Program - September 20, 2021 - October 4, 2021 (or until 100 applications have been submitted)
  • Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program - September 20, 2021 - October 4, 2021 for residents age 62 and older, and/or veterans ONLY (or until 50 applications have been submitted)
  • Foreclosure Prevention Program - September 20, 2021  - (or until 30 applications have been submitted
  • Emergency Repair Program – November 1, 2021 -  November 15, 2021 (or until 25 applications have been submitted)

 
SHIP programs funding will be allocated as follows:

$   161,105​​Foreclosure Prevention
$1,125,000​​Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation
$   750,000​​Emergency Repairs

Purchase Assistance with/without Rehabilitation - Funding will assist income eligible first-time homebuyers with gap financing, lot acquisition, down payment, closing costs and/or rehabilitation, to purchase a new or existing home.
 
Foreclosure Prevention - Funding will assist income eligible homeowners who are facing foreclosure due to an unexpected loss of household income.
 
Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation - Funding will assist income eligible owner occupied applicants with substantial rehabilitation, roof repairs/replacement and utility (sewer and water) connection.
 
Emergency Repairs  - Funding will assist income eligible owner occupied homeowners to address emergency conditions such as roofing, electrical, plumbing and structural repairs.
