  • Question Mark IconWhy do some properties have two land use designations on the Future Land Use Atlas (FLUA) maps?
    Answer:

A dual Land Use Designation is shown on the FLUA maps as a designation followed by a slash mark and another designation (example: CH/8 which means Commercial High with an underlying High Residential 8 dwelling units per acre). The second designation is considered underlying or alternative and is independent of the first designation. This gives the affected property two separate development potentials.
