  • How can I find out the outcome of a Code Enforcement case that has gone before a Special Master Hearing?
    Answer:

    Contact the Code Enforcement Officer directly or the Code Enforcement Office at 561-233-5500.


  • How do I file a complaint?
    Answer:

    ​Contact the Code Enforcement Division at 561-233-5500 or pzbcode@pbcgov.com. Please have the address of the subject property available when reporting a violation. Leaving your name and telephone number is not required. To assist you in your follow-up when remaining anonymous, remember to record the assigned case.


  • I received a Code Enforcement Notice of Violation. What should I do?
    Answer:

    ​First, contact the Code Enforcement Officer that issued the Notice. It is important that you keep in touch with the Code Officer. He or she can assist you in getting to the right people to expedite your efforts to comply with the Notice of Violation, and can answer any preliminary questions you may have. Refer to the Palm Beach County Code Enforcement Division Web Page for further details.


  • What if my neighbor’s trees/fence are encroaching my property?
    Answer:

    ​Property line disputes are a civil matter, not a code enforcement issue.


  • Who handles animal related complaints?
    Answer:

    ​Animal Care and Control 561-233-1200


  • Who inspects single-family homes?
    Answer:

    ​Structural, electrical, and mechanical inspectors from the Building Division inspect homes throughout the building process and prior to Certificate of Occupancy. Contact Inspections at 561-233-5170.


  • Who responds to complaints concerning landscaping?
    Answer:

    Code Enforcement Division at 561-233-5500 responds to complaints concerning the Unified Land Development Code after the site has received a final Certificate of Occupancy (CO). The Landscape Inspector of the Zoning Division handles complaints on landscaping before a property receives a CO.
