State law and local ordinances require that adult living facilities have a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. This plan explains in detail what the facility would do in case of power failure, water shortages, floods, hurricanes and other potential emergency circumstances. The Fire Evacuation and Disaster portion of the plan details how the facility reacts to fire emergencies. This plan is required to be reviewed and approved by the Fire Department before the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan can be submitted for its annual approval. If you need your plan reviewed or have other questions, please call our office at  561-616-7030.
