On February 19, the Community Services Department in partnership with the Government Alliance on Race & Equity, and Birth to 22 hosted the Advancing the Mission: Operationalizing and Institutionalizing Racial Equity within your Organization racial equity session.
More than 150 community leaders attended the session where they learned how to use the Racial Equity Tool to identify clear goals and measurable outcomes that will reduce racial inequities and improve success for all groups.
The objectives of this session were to develop skills using Racial Equity Tool; learn to identify policies and institutional practices that lead to racial inequities; and develop racial equity action plans within their respective organizations.
