Body

The PBC Community Services Department (CSD) Securing Our Future Initiative invites you to attend our upcoming webinar, Building Resilience: Using Social Capital to Advance Economic Mobility. This webinar will take place virtually on Monday, May 24 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

This webinar will discuss the concept of social capital, how it reduces poverty, and how we are using it locally to reduce poverty in Palm Beach County and will be moderated the CSD Director James Green. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from two experts in building social capital: Founder and CEO of Open Tables, Jon Katov and CEO of Palm Health Foundation, Patrick McNamara.

Mr. Katov is held in high regard for his work in developing Open Tables' program that reduces poverty by increasing social capital through connecting families with 8-12 mentors that will support their development in multiple facets of their life including employment, spirituality, health, and more. Mr. McNamara is well known in the Palm Beach County community as a local expert in health and wellness programming. Under his leadership, the Palm Health Foundation has been implementing Open Tables locally for a number of years.
