Due to concerns involving the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and following the recommendations of the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) and Florida Health - Palm Beach County (FHPBC), the PBC Community Services Department Division of Senior Services (DOSS) has cancelled/modified the following services until further notice:
Senior Centers
Effective Friday, March 20, 2020 all three senior centers will be closed. Senior centers are located at:
- Mid County Senior Center
3680 Lake Worth Road
Lake Worth - North County Senior Center
5217 Northlake Boulevard
Palm Beach Gardens - West County Senior Center
2916 State Road #15
Belle Glade
Congregate Meal Program
The Congregate Meal Program will be serving its the last meal on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
- Registered participants will be sent home with a two (2) week supply of shelf-stable meals.
- Next supply will be available on Friday, April 3, 2020 at any of the above-mentioned senior centers.
- Participants may drive to their nearest senior center to pick up their two-week meal supply.
- Registered seniors who are in need but are unable pick up their meals or rely on Palm Tran transportation to the meal site, can call (561) 355-4746 or (561) 355-4740 for assistance scheduling their shelf-ready meal delivery.
- Seniors who are not registered in the Congregate Meal Program, if available, may be provided with a seven (7) day supply, along with additional recommendations and referrals.;
Congregate Meal Program distribution hours at the senior centers will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.
Adult Day Care Center
Only the adult day care centers will be providing services for participants. Adult Day Care Center locations:
